Lee Yang Hee (이양희), Lead Actor
After graduating from Seoul Institute of the Arts, Yang Hee has performed in plays, musicals, TV shows, and films for over a span of 30 years. As a veteran actor in the Korean entertainment industry, his most recent notable projects include Kingdom (2019-2020) and Cicada (2020), the latter of which he has received critical acclaim for playing the leading role. Over the years, Yang Hee has come to be regarded as a highly skilled actor people recognize by face but not by name, as he has appeared as a supporting actor in the works of many prominent directors such as Lee Chang-dong and Lee Choong-Ryul. With a deep love of independent cinema, Yang Hee still finds time to appear in many indie features and short films. In fact, he has appeared in over 400 short films in just the past decade alone. Georgia (2020) is his second project working with Jayil Pak.
서울예술대학교 연극과 출신으로 30여년이 넘는 오랜 연기 경력을 가진 베테랑 배우이며 연극, 뮤지컬, 드라마, 영화 등 분야를 따지지 않고 다방면에서 활동하고 있다. 대표작으로는 <매미소리(2020)>, <청년은살았다(2020)>, <킹덤2(2020)>, <킹덤1(2019)>, <안나(2015)>, <블루스이야기(2015)> 등이 있다. 그는 400여편이 넘는 단편영화에 출연할 정도로 연기에 대한 열정이 남다르며 그동안 주연으로 활동한 많은 단편영화들이 부산, 전주, 미쟝센 등 국내 유명 영화제에서 수상을 한 바 있다.
Lee Chae Kyung (이채경), Lead Actor
After debuting in the musical Empress Myeongseong in 1999, Chae Kyung worked for eight years as an actor for the renowned Seoul Performing Arts Company until 2007. For over 20 years, she has appeared in over 100 musicals, plays, TV shows and films including Horror Stories (2012), She Was Pretty (2015), Guardian (2016), Hide-and-Seek (2016), 100 Days My Prince (2018), Hotel del Luna (2019), and #Alive (2020). Originally a physical education major in college, she applies the same discipline in preparation for her roles as an actor. 1999년 뮤지컬 <명성황후>로 데뷔해 2007년 중반까지 서울예술단 뮤지컬 단원으로 활동했다. 20여년 동안 100편 이상의 뮤지컬, 연극, 영화 등에 출연했으며 대표작으로는 뮤지컬 <지하철1호선>, <궁>, <바람의 나라> 등과 영화 <무서운 이야기(2012)>, <#살아있다(2020)>, <숨바꼭질(2016)> 등이 있다. 2015년 부터는 드라마 <그녀는 예뻤다(2015)>, <백일의 낭군님(2018)>, <호텔 델루나(2019)> 등에 출연하며 대중들에게 얼굴을 알렸다. 원래 체육학을 전공한 그녀는 포기할 줄 모르는 근성을 바탕으로 연기에 부단한 노력을 게을리 하지 않았고, 그 결과 삶의 다양한 경험들을 자신만의 색깔로 풀어내는 명품 배우로 활동하고 있다.
Kang Boram (강보람), Producer
Boram began her career in the coffee industry, working her way up from barista to manager at Coffee Harbor, a small coffee chain in South Korea. Eventually, she was promoted to work at company headquarters, rising up in the ranks until becoming the head of operations at the young age of 27. Unhappy with her nine-to-five job and with a portfolio of art projects she accumulated in her spare time, Boram moved on to work as a graphic designer at Emu Art Center in Seoul where she was eventually promoted to gallery curator. In 2016, she worked as a production coordinator for two post-production houses based in Seoul, eventually moving on to produce projects of her own. Since 2017, her films, including Pepper (2018) and Georgia (2020) have garnered much acclaim at many film festivals including Busan and Jeonju as well as receiving several grants from prominent organizations like the Korean Film Council. In her spare time, she enjoys painting dogs and cats at her local animal shelter where she frequently volunteers. @thisisboram
지역 커피 체인점인 커피하버에서 바리스타로 사회생활을 시작했고, 27세의 나이에 본사 실장의 자리에 올라 매장 컨설팅 및 마케팅, 체인 사업 운영 등의 경력을 쌓았다. 이후 서울의 에무 아트 센터에서 그래픽 디자이너로 근무하며 갤러리 큐레이터를 겸임했다. 2016년에 영화사에서 프로덕션 코디네이터로 일을 시작했으며, 2017년부터는 프리랜서로 본격적인 영화 제작 업무를 맡아 프로젝트를 진행했다. 그 중 <고추(2018)>, <조지아(2020)> 등의 작품은 부산, 전주 등 명망 있는 영화제에서 많은 찬사를 받았다. 영화 프로젝트 외에도 강아지와 고양이 등의 동물 초상화 작업을 하며 그림 작가로서의 삶을 살고 있다. @thisisboram
Wesley Cho (조현준), Executive Producer
An acclaimed Korean-Canadian filmmaker of humanitarian cinema, Wesley received his bachelor’s degree in film studies and theater at Chung-Ang University and PhD in film production at Dongguk University. Since then, he has directed and produced a number of features and shorts such as Yellow Wind (2016), TranSiam (2011), and Alive in Havana (2010), which have screened in numerous film festivals all across the globe. Among his documentary work, Bira (2015), which screened at the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival, received much critical acclaim and media attention as it captured unprecedented footage of daily life in North Korea. Wesley is currently a professor in the journalism and visual communications department at Keimyung University in South Korea and regularly travels abroad in pursuit of his documentary work.
조현준 감독은 중앙대학교 연극영화과를 졸업한 후 아카데미예술대학원 멀티미디어커뮤니케이션학과에서 석사, 동국대학교 영화영상제작학과에서 박사학위를 취득하였다. 현재는 계명대학교 언론영상학과에서 교수로 재직하며 작품 활동을 이어가고 있다. 조 감독은 미국 ABC 방송국의 교양프로그램 PD출신으로 지난 10년 동안 북한, 태국, 쿠바 등의 국가에서 소외된 이들의 민감한 이슈를 다루며 인권 다큐멘터리를 제작해왔다. 특히 DMZ국제다큐멘터리 영화제에서 상영된 <삐라(2015)>는 적대적인 남북관계 속에서 펼쳐지는 일상의 단면을 조명하며 많은 언론의 주목을 받았다. 최근에는 <시계>, <교환학생> 등 극영화 작업에 몰두하고 있다. @hyun_jun_cho
